In Flames – summer festival run 2026

for the massive 2026 summer festival run of swedish metal icons In Flames, our team was commissioned to create a fully holistic live experience seamlessly integrating set, lighting, and video design.
built around the core concept of a “digital wasteland,” the objective was to visually deconstruct and shatter the stage environment—crafting a dystopian, highly dynamic visual universe that amplifies the band’s unrelenting sonic energy.

set design

architectural synergy
the stage architecture served as the structural framework, fusing scenic elements, lighting fixtures, and video surfaces into a singular, cohesive aesthetic.
rather than treating these departments as separate layers, the design established an all-encompassing, abstract digital ecosystem.

industrial machinery & custom data looms
overhead, the massive lighting pods were designed as visual homages to heavy, industrial electrical machinery.
a defining visual highlight was the introduction of bespoke “data looms” — custom-engineered hybrid bundles combining dynamic LED tubing with functional cabling.
these luminous conduits served as raw, mechanical lifelines bridging the floating power pods directly to the stage floor, pulling the audience straight into an interconnected, dystopian machinery.

lighting design & programming

seamless convergence
the lighting concept was engineered from the ground up to dissolve the boundaries between physical set pieces and digital canvas.

pixel mapping & rhythmic impact
utilizing extensive pixel mapping, video content was translated directly across the lighting fixtures, transforming the entire rig into an extension of the screen.
every cue was programmed down to the millisecond to match the band’s signature riffs and ferocious drum patterns, unleashing maximum visual pressure and raw dynamic force on the festival stages.

content design

panoramic backdrop
completing the aesthetic vision, a full-width panoramic LED wall spanned behind the entire set, framing the band within an immersive digital horizon.

dystopian visual narrative
the content featured bespoke dystopian landscapes, fractured geometry, and aggressive glitch aesthetics, individually tailored to the narrative of each song while maintaining a unified artistic direction throughout the entire show.

hybrid real-time production
by combining high-end 3D world-building, stylized 2D elements, and responsive real-time generation, the visual identity remained flexible and organic.
this ecosystem extended directly into the live camera feeds, augmenting the performance with real-time effects and stylized visual overlays perfectly synchronized with the ongoing song content.

In Flames – Rise from the North Tour 2024

for the 2024 „Rise from the North“ tour of swedish metal pioneers In Flames, our team was tasked with translating the visceral power of Melodic Death Metal into a high-precision, architectural stage concept.
known for their exacting standards in lighting aesthetics and timing, In Flames required a bespoke construction that met these elite demands.

lighting design

the centerpiece of the stage design was a multifunctional, massive custom riser and a 6.5-meter tall inflatable Jester — the band’s iconic mascot and fan favorite.

integrated lighting matrix
more than just a platform for the drums and keyboards, the riser served as the show’s technological heart.
we integrated a massive wall of fixtures directly into the riser’s chassis.

visual impact

this placement allowed for high-intensity light pulses to be fired from the center of the stage, creating a „visual pressure wave“ that synced perfectly with the band’s riffs and drums.

since In Flames tours globally, the design was engineered for modularity from the start.

tour versatility

the set was adapted into various configurations for both the US tour and major European festivals in 2025.

brand consistency:

this modular approach ensured that the visual identity of the show remained intact, regardless of the stage size or venue constraints.

a project of this magnitude thrives on communication.
the entire production was developed in close coordination with frontman Anders Fridén.

lighting & programming

intensive workshops
the collaboration was exceptionally hands-on. Anders Fridén spent two days at our headquarters to personally refine every detail of the lighting dramaturgy and set design.
emotional depth
this synergy between the artist and our design team guaranteed that every lighting sequence mirrored the emotional intensity and aggression for which In Flames is celebrated worldwide.

precision lighting design

in the world of In Flames, lighting isn’t just an effect — it’s a metronome.

contrast & atmosphere
by combining the massive riser lighting with a dynamic overhead rig, we created an atmosphere that shifted seamlessly between dark intimacy and blinding arena moments.

rhythmic synchronization
every cue followed the principle of absolute precision, acting as a visual extension of the band’s musical timing.
