Lighting Design

The visual centerpiece of the stage was an imposing, pyramid-shaped staircase construction. This architectural element served not only as a home for the musicians but functioned as a dynamic light body in its own right. We equipped the structure with 110 ACME Pixellines, allowing us to transform the entire stage into a pulsating matrix. From subtle glows to rapid, graphical pixel effects, the staircase became the central heartbeat of the show.

Content Design

The entire production was conceived as a journey through Ben Zucker’s life, divided into six acts that each reflected a formative chapter. To support this narrative, we developed six distinct content worlds that visually translated the emotional core of every chapter.

Lighting & Content Programming

A particular focus was placed on the fluid connection between the individual show elements. Massimo Ibrahim and Hannes Kelch from USP GmbH envisioned an organic evolution rather than harsh breaks. We designed all transitions between the content worlds to be seamless, allowing the audience to dive deeper into Ben’s world without interruption.

Quotes from Ben’s autobiography served as the dramaturgical framework, functioning both visually and audibly as intermezzos between acts. These moments provided the necessary space for reflection before the next high-energy block brought the arena to life once again.
