Lighting & Video Programming

The stage set was based on a clear vertical and horizontal structure, creating various levels for Leony, her musicians, and the dancers. Our task was to define and expand this architecture through dynamic programming.

The technological centerpiece was a large semi-transparent LED wall. A precise matrix of wash lights was installed directly behind it. This setup allowed us to play with layers: at times, the wall functioned as a traditional content surface; at others, it was „pierced“ by the backlighting of the matrix, creating stunning silhouette effects and immense spatial depth.

The goal of the programming was to maintain the „glossy look“ of major pop productions while keeping the rig compact enough to meet the logistical requirements of a club and theater tour.

Lighting Direction

A show of this intensity is never a solo effort. The entire lighting dramaturgy was developed in close coordination with Show Director and Choreographer Ini Hanfmann to ensure that every lighting accent supported the precise movements of the artist and dancers.

We bridged the gap between music, movement, and visuals. In addition to lighting programming, we were responsible for the implementation of the video content produced by CHROMABONES (aka Zomboy).

On the technical side, we realized a complex composition of pre-produced content and live-image elements. This allowed Leony’s on-stage performance and the digital worlds on the LED wall to merge into a seamless visual unit.

The lighting design was characterized by bold colors, fast transitions, and high brilliance. The synergy of Ini Hanfmann’s dynamic choreography, CHROMABONES‘ energetic content, and our programming resulted in a modern, international look that underscores Leony’s status as one of Germany’s leading pop artists.
